more times ... this August mOndO is packed with juicy treats! First
off, sources are saying that FEEL KOLLINS is flying
in on a green monkey to personally attend the first ever FEEL
TEES FASHION SHEW! Then, taveling from NYC, is jazzy
people JON LUNDBOM
and BIG!FIVE CHORD ... mmmmm I'm
excited and deticxe! hurray! Recent Chicago acquisition, GUILLERMO
MUNRO, will be opening a show of his paintings - very
nice stuff ... I promise ... plus local performance artist JUSTIN
COOPER will be performing something called "Why
are you Yelling at Me?" ... and let's not forget about our
host / em-cee ... ROSS
MORENO ... and of course deejay guru ONEFIFTYONE
will keep the vinyl spinning along with cohort JON

... let's turn those frowns upside down ... here's what's stewing
for the summer ... in July Chicago's dub reggae group THE
DRASTICS will take the stage ... and rumor has it
that Brooklyn's TOTALLY
REALISTIC THEATRE COMPANY will be stopping by for
a rant and a rave, a skit and a say ... and August is on track
with the amazing musical group NICE
PETER ... wow, can't wait, i think ... and August
wouldn't be close to complete without some animated shadow
puppetry including a live orchestra
... okay, okay ... I'll bring you more info as soon as I have
it... but just let your mouths moisten with that for now. |

Children...so, how goes the good fight? MONDO is taking s little
time and gearing up for a really exciting summer...thanks to all
the children that came out to see some puppets, drink some and
drink a little more and listen to music at the last event...stay
tuned for more info on our upcoming shows! |

just a heads up to everyone already thinking about the future, you
know who you are... SHELLY
MILLER will be playing the March event (MARCH
11th) and ORGAN
FAILURE will be coming in all the way from far off
lands for the APRIL 8th show! plus ... as some
of you already know, the March MONDO will be our celebration of
the female species ... with the entire MONDO line-up being filled
with creatives with no Y chromosomes ... that said, new visual art
will be on display from - SARA ALLRED (Ceramic
installation), and SARAH NELSON (Scultpture)...

we'll host music from PEOPLE
WILL BLINK and a jazz trio with HUDSON HARRINGTON
BERRY- vibraphone, NATE LePINE- tenor
sax, and FRANK ROSALY- drums plus some improv
comedy - then it's on to January 14th with music from RADIO
